XML Publishing

چکیده
DEFINITION XML Publishing typically refers to the creation of XML output (either in the form of a character stream or file) from a relational DBMS. XML Publishing typically must handle three issues: converting an XML query or view definition into a corresponding SQL query; encoding hierarchy in the SQL data; and generating tags around the encoded hierarchical data. Since in some cases the relational data may have originated from XML, the topics of XML Storage and XML Publishing are closely related and often addressed simultaneously.

متن کاملA Uniform System for Publishing and Maintaining XML Data
XML has become the prime standard for data exchange on the Web. To exchange data currently residing in databases, one needs to publish it in XML, i.e., to extract data from the database and transform the data into an XML format. In practice, data publishing is often done with a predefined “schema”. A community agrees on a certain schema, and subsequently all members of the community exchange th...
متن کاملXML Schema Quality Index in the Multimedia Content Publishing Domain
The structure and content of XML schemas impacts significantly the quality of data respectively documents, defined by XML schemas. Attempts to evaluate the quality of XML schemas have been made, dividing them into six quality aspects: structure, transparency and documentation, optimality, minimalism, reuse and integrability. XML schema quality index was used to combine all the quality aspects a...
متن کاملSchema-directed Publishing the Target Xml Data Must Conform to the Recursive Dtd
This poster provides an overview of a new system for schema-directed publishing of relational data in XML, based on the novel concept of Attribute Transformation Grammars (ATGs). A salient feature of this system is that target schema (DTD) conformance is automatically guaranteed. To cope with data that evolves over time, the system also supports an incremental algorithm for maintaining XML data...
